Passwords are sent home at the start of the year and you may always email me with a reminder request! We will be studying geometry, multiplication and division, measurement, basic math skills, graphing, story problems, fractions and much more throughout the year. MULTIPLICATION FACTS are crucial this year. Please encourage your children to use flashcards or play math games on their iPads several times a week. Without these basic skills, their overall math experience this year will suffer. It is imperative that they memorize their basic math facts. In class we will dive deeper into the how and why of these facts but memorization will make the procedural part so much easier for them. Please see additional information under the tab above marked More.... It will provide you with individualized information for every unit as well as test dates and when study guides were sent home.
Social Studies:
Our main focus for the year will be getting students secure in the concepts of the 5 themes of geography and map skills. Look forward to the USA Marvels in the winter time when there are not as many after school commitments going on with all of our children.
